Faiza Shaheen is a British economist, writer, and social justice advocate known for her work on inequality and progressive policy.

She studied PPE at Oxford and earned a PhD from the University of Manchester. She has led research at organisations including the New Economics Foundation and Save the Children UK, and now serves as Executive Director of Tax Justice UK.

A former Labour candidate who later stood as an independent, Shaheen is the author of Know Your Place (2023), a book examining how class and inequality shape life chances in Britain.
